From mid‑July 2022, Ms. Heike von Waaden joined JBO, where she will serve as Senior Loads Engineer, focusing on global aeroelastic load simulation of offshore wind turbines. She will bolster our loads and dynamics department with her expertise in onshore and offshore load analysis as well as certification processes. Her offshore load experience dates back to the beginnings of the German offshore wind industry, where she carried out integrated wind‑wave load simulations for Germany’s first offshore wind farm, Alpha Ventus (jacket substructures), and contributed to the industry’s development in several subsequent R&D projects.
