Alpha Ventus

The Alpha Ventus offshore wind farm is located about 45 km north of the island of Borkum in the German North Sea. Officially commissioned on April 27, 2010, it was the first German offshore wind farm and serves as a test site for offshore wind technology. With a total capacity of 60 MW, the wind farm features twelve turbines—six Adwen M5000 units on tripod foundations and six Senvion 5M units on jacket foundations—installed in water depths of approximately 30 meters.

JBO supported the project through all planning phases and was responsible for the detailed design of both the tripod foundations and the towers. The team also provided fabrication and construction support to ensure an efficient implementation and adherence to high standards throughout all phases of the project.
