Trianel Windpark Borkum II

Located approximately 45 km north of Borkum Island in the German North Sea, the Trianel Windpark Borkum II used monopile foundations, anchored in water depths ranging from 25 to 35 meters. This wind farm comprises 32 Senvion 6.3M152 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.33 MW, resulting in a total installed capacity of around 200 MW.

As part of this project, JBO was responsible for the basic and detailed engineering of the substructure (monopile & transition piece). This included permitting design, connection design, and secondary steel design (e.g., boat landings, platforms, J-tubes), as well as specifications, material selection, weight control, and fatigue analyses.
