The Arkona offshore wind farm is located approximately 35 km northeast of Rügen Island in the German Baltic Sea. Monopile foundations were used for the project, anchored in water depths ranging from 23 to 37 meters. This wind farm comprises 60 Siemens Gamesa SWT-6.0-154 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.4 MW, resulting in a total installed capacity of 385 MW.

JBO performed the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), Basic Design, and Detailed Design for the jacket and piles. This included the design of grouted connections, taking sea ice loads into consideration, secondary steel components like boat landings and platforms, and extensive analyses of collision safety, pile fatigue, and load-bearing capacity. Additionally, specifications and construction documentation were prepared.
