JBO Engineering Group GmbH is an owner-managed company with over 60 years of experience in structural engineering, project planning, and technical inspection of complex building and civil engineering structures. For more than 17 years, our staff have also been active in the offshore wind sector, focusing on structural design, loads, research, and inspection.
Your exciting, varied tasks
Our offshore wind department in Rostock is seeking support for the following tasks:
- Contribute to research and industry projects in the field of steel structures and structural mechanics
- Development and evaluation of numerical models using Ansys Mechanical and LS-DYNA
- Prepare and present results (plots, reports, presentations)
- Research on technical topics
What you should bring with you
- Enrolled student (e.g., mechanical engineering, civil engineering, engineering management, physics, or similar)
- Interest in structural mechanics, numerical simulation, and offshore wind
- Basic knowledge of programming (ideally Python) and finite element methods (FEM/FEA) is desirable but not essential
- Strong willingness to learn and enthusiasm for working with new topics and software tools
- Independent, detail oriented, and reliable way of working, combined with strong teamwork skills
