Europe’s offshore wind sector is under pressure. Rising costs, complex projects and long approval processes are slowing momentum in the North Sea. JBO therefore welcomes the Offshore Wind Investment Pact, signed at the North Sea Summit in Hamburg. It shows that governments recognise the need for coordinated action and a long term commitment to offshore wind. At JBO, we see this pact as more than a political statement. Many of its targets reflect challenges we work with every day. Cost reduction, buildable designs and realistic project timelines are key topics in our ongoing offshore projects. With long standing experience in the North Sea, JBO contributes to offshore wind development through engineering services for: 🔹 WTG substructures 🔹 Offshore substations 🔹 Converter stations Our contribution lies in turning ambitious targets into projects that can be engineered and built. By reducing complexity, enabling robust and buildable design solutions and working closely with developers and TSOs, we help create the technical basis needed to move offshore wind projects forward. The Offshore Wind Investment Pact sets an important framework. We are ready to actively support its goals through our engineering work in the North Sea.
