All turbine foundations and secondary steel structures for Nordseecluster A have been successfully installed. After full commissioning in early 2027, Nordseecluster A will have a total capacity of 660 MW. The second expansion stage, Nordseecluster B, will contribute an additional 900 MW in 2029.

We are proud to have contributed to this important step with our engineering expertise and innovative TP less monopile foundation design, supporting one of Germany’s largest offshore wind projects with a total capacity of 1.6 gigawatts. Nordseecluster is a joint offshore wind project between RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management.

A big thank you to the Nordseecluster team, our project partner RWE and all other collaborators for the fantastic teamwork.

Together we are turning ambitious offshore concepts into real progress and driving the future of renewable energy in Europe. 🌍

Sea Ice Is Back in the Baltic Sea

Sea ice is not gone from the southern Baltic Sea as many have thought in the recent years. The strong 2025/2026 winter season shows that multiple offshore wind farm locations can actually be affected by sea ice, as can be seen on daily-published FMI ice charts in comparison with maps of the existing and planed…

JBO Welcomes the Offshore Wind Investment Pact: A Necessary Step for the North Sea

Europe’s offshore wind sector is under pressure. Rising costs, complex projects and long approval processes are slowing momentum in the North Sea. JBO therefore welcomes the Offshore Wind Investment Pact, signed at the North Sea Summit in Hamburg. It shows that governments recognise the need for coordinated action and a long term commitment to…
