Nordergründe

The Nordergründe offshore wind farm is located approximately 15 km northeast of Wangerooge Island in the German North Sea, within the 12-nautical-mile zone. Monopile foundations were used for its establishment, installed in water depths ranging from 2 to 10 meters. This wind farm consists of 18 Senvion 6.2M126 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 6.15 MW, resulting in a total installed capacity of 110.7 MW.

JBO provided basic and detailed design for the substructure (monopile & transition piece). This included permitting design, flange and grouted connection design, planning of all secondary steel elements (boat landings, rest platforms, J-tubes, cable and work platforms), preparing technical specifications, ice and collision analyses, weight control, and fatigue assessment of piles after piling.
