Based on the SHM system output JBO will bring in their deep knowledge on offshore wind struc\u00adtural foundation design and dynamics. This allows for a detailed reassessment of the existing structures based on as-built information and measurements.<\/p>\n\n<p>Please see also the discription of the innovative Agile Design approach on our partners website, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woelfel.de\/shmfoundation-agile-design.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">W\u00f6lfel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agile Design Model<\/h2>\n\n<p>An Agile Design model will be setup and parametrized by JBO that reflects the real physical foundation. JBO desires to create the awareness that OWT are much more dynamically driven with size and hence highly sensitive to lifetime assumptions.<\/p>\n\n<p>Continuous SHM combined with deep foundation design expertise is the key to reduce these uncertainties and risks. Furthermore, lifetime extension is seen as major contribution to improve the sustainability in offshore wind design.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>JBO Role &amp; Capabilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>JBO will analyse the design and as-built documentation package. Environmental conditions (wind, wave, ice, seismic, etc.) are updated and a structural model will be set up. A detailed geotechnical re-analysis based on 3D-FE methods allows to accurately reflect the soil-pile interaction. By application of the agile model a lifetime assessment based on SHM data predicts the real damage.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><div id=\"ID1695222452803\" class=\"cktype\" data-type=\"text\">&#13;\n<div class=\"cktext inner\">&#13;\n&#13;\n<strong>Sharp Interfaces<\/strong>&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/div><br\/><\/div><\/h2>\n\n<p>JBO and W\u00f6lfel developed a clear design model process that defines the workflow of the Agile Model setup.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"557\" height=\"622\" src=\"https:\/\/j-b-o.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/jbo-agile-design-agile-model-process-analysis.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-217\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outcome<\/h2>\n\n<p>The added value of the Agile Design process is a real time assessment of each structure\u2019s lifetime, and a WTG speci\u00ad\u00adfic traffic light classification of the design relevant KPI\u2019s of your struc\u00adtures.
