It marks the first phase of RWE\u2019s larger 1.6\u202fGW Nordseecluster project. The foundations use monopiles without transition pieces (TP-less). A total of 44 Vestas V236-15.0\u202fMW wind turbines will be installed, resulting in a total capacity of 660\u202fMW. Grid connection is scheduled for early 2027, with energy to be transmitted via the DolWin Kappa converter platform into the German grid. Once fully operational, the wind farm is expected to produce around 6.5\u202fTWh of green electricity annually, making a significant contribution to industrial decarbonization. In the TP-less design, the external working platform is connected to the monopile using six M80 T-bolts.       <\/p>\n\n<p>JBO provided key engineering services for the Nordseecluster project across several work packages\u2014from developing the design basis (Part A), through pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases for both WTG and OSS foundations, to planning for Nordsee 3 and Delta Nordsee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm is located approximately 50\u202fkm north of Juist Island in the German North Sea.
