Did you know that… that offshore structures interact dynamically with sea ice?

Sea ice is part of the marine conditions that, among other things, need to be taken into account in the design process of foundations and substructures for OWTs. The JBO team has been involved in several projects in the Baltic Sea where the effects of sea ice loads were analyzed using our in-house state-of-the-art software. The JBO methodology for ice-structure interaction is recognized and certified. In addition, the JBO is a leader in cutting-edge research involving external international specialists in the fields of ice assessment and ice-structure interaction.

Feel free to contact our sea ice expert Wojciech Popkoin to learn more about this phenomenon and our services!
