Sometimes a career in offshore wind starts with a clear plan. Sometimes it begins with a bit of luck and the right opportunity at the right time. For Nikolaj, it was exactly that kind of moment that led him into the world of jacket substructures and laid the foundation for the past ten years. From developing parametric models for jacket geometries in his early days to contributing to complex monopile and floating structure design, Nikolaj has continuously combined technical depth with a strong maritime mindset. His long-standing passion for everything nautical is not just a hobby, it is part of what drives his work in offshore structure design. Beyond project work, Nikolaj has also played a key role in shaping our internal design tools. Many of the methods and workflows we rely on today carry his signature in one way or another. We spoke with Nikolaj about his early days in offshore wind, the projects that challenged him most, and the milestones that make him proud when he sees structures move from design into reality. You can read his reflections in the carousel. Thank you, Nikolaj, for ten years of expertise, curiosity, and commitment. We are glad to have you as an integral part of our team.
