Our portfolio includes substantial detailed design projects in offshore wind, along with a continuous flow of concept and FEED studies and design initiatives for innovative concepts beyond the currently accepted foundation standards in offshore wind with challenging projects that push us to keep on innovating and developing new concepts.

Given the nature of our team, client, and projects across the globe, the role may involve occasional travel domestically within Germany and internationally.

  Your tasks

• Lead and support offshore wind projects by providing high-end structural design expertise for primary steel structures in the context of offshore wind turbine foundations, with a specific focus on WTG jacket design.
• Ensure third-party certification of your designs and oversee the fabrication and installation processes.
• Advise and assist clients in the evaluation and selection of foundation concepts, coordinating inputs from various disciplines.
• Collaborate as a key member of the structural design team to contribute to the delivery of world-class renewable energy projects.
• Liaise with clients and consultants to develop innovative approaches and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with wind turbine vendors as part of integrated load analysis efforts.
• Contribute to the continuous development of in-house engineering software used for structural design and hydrodynamic load calculations.

  Your profile

• A master's degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Prior experience in offshore wind substructure design (Jacket).
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written. The German language is a plus.
• A proactive and responsible approach to assignments, with a strong drive for results through teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and consultants.

It would be advantageous if you have:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience as a professional offshore structural engineer in the offshore wind sector.
• Experience with hydrodynamic loading effects on offshore foundations, whether fixed or floating.
• Experience evaluating other WTG foundation types, such as monopiles and GBS.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes, including DNV, Norsok, ISO 19902, and Eurocode.
• Experience with relevant software, such as MATLAB, Python, and others (preferred but not required).
• Experience with performing FE analysis using ANSYS or SESAM (preferred but not required).

  Your tasks

• Serving as the Senior Geotechnical Engineer for multiple projects in their different phases
• Ensuring a high level of geotechnical quality across the projects
• Advising project stakeholders on all geotechnical aspects of offshore wind farm development and construction
• Reviewing and challenging documentation from external designers and contractors
• Planning and executing appropriate geotechnical activities
• Driving and managing various engineering activities across the project
• Liaising with our client and in-house engineering teams
• Maintaining and expanding our strong network within the industry.
• Advice and support the continuous advancement of our in-house software package with ideas, methods, and optimizations

  Your profile

• A master's degree or higher in civil or geotechnical engineering.
• Prior experience in offshore wind substructure designs
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written. The German language is a plus.
• A proactive and responsible approach to assignments, with a strong drive for results through teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and consultants.

It would be advantageous if you have:

• >6 years of relevant experience as a professional offshore geotechnical engineer
• A solid technical background in foundation design, pile-soil interaction, pile testing, driveability analysis, spud can penetration analysis, seismic analysis, geotechnical interpretation, etc.
• Expertise in geohazard identification and management
• Experience in managing engineering projects and developing engineering timelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and other consultants.
